Afternoon French Class: Ages 5-7

8 weeks, session #3 - April 15, 2026 - June 3 rd 2026

Time: 3:00PM - 4:30PM

Location: LPJ Mill Valley Campus

Max students : 5 

No refund for canceling, one make up class offered on June 10 if teacher has to cancel a class .

This weekly class is designed for former  LPJ students or students who speak French at home . The main focus of this literacy class is to encourage French conversation, maintain a fluent level of spoken French and to learn writing and reading basics in a friendly and fun environment.

Class curriculum and objectives :

Practice French speaking during circle time and all games /activities . Express oneself using polite greetings . Learn vocabulary around the theme of the month . Describe pictures using full sentences . Interact with the group in French . Listen to and understand stories (describe main characters, order plot )

Writing and Reading : Decompose words into syllables. Learn the sounds made by individual letters and by letter combinations ( Practice of previous sounds +g / c / in/ eu /ai /ei etc…)

Write and read syllables

Write and read words , then sentences 

Memorize «  sight » words ( le , la, les , un , c’est , sur , je , mais , avec , plus …)

Students will be sent home with short practice activities to complete before the next class.

Spring Class Session Detail (8 classes) : April 15,22,29 May 6, 13, 20, 27 June 3rs Potential make-up class scheduled for June 10  if necessary.
