This weekly class is designed for LPJ grads or young students who speak French. The main focus of this class is to encourage French conversation, maintain a fluent level of spoken French and to learn early writing and reading basics (when ready) in a friendly and fun environment.

Class curriculum and objectives :

Practice French speaking during circle time and all games /activities . Express oneself using polite greetings . Learn vocabulary around the theme of the month . Describe pictures using full sentences . Interact with the group in French . Listen to and understand stories (describe main characters, order plot )

Oral and Pre-literacy activities and objectives:

Answer questions about a story

Introduction to sounds and some simple French “sight words”

Vocabulary and hands-on experience of language: We will often create crafts (paint , collage , drawings mixed media ) or cook recipes to explore our weekly themes !
